Whether you have or have never played Netball before, our Wednesday night Recreational sessions (18 +) held from 8:30pm to 10:00 pm at The Peak Stirling provide a gentle, friendly and fun introduction or re-introduction to the sport. It is for those who have never played or perhaps played the game in school or university before life, jobs and children came along and want to play socially. For more information on membership please see our membership page.
That moment when you and your teammate know exactly what you are doing without saying a word.
The club has gone from strength to strength with players improving so much and developing such a passion for the sport that we have converted a section of the club into two competitive league teams the Stirling Sonics and Sapphires.
For those 17+ looking to play competitively in the senior Central Netball Association League, or a more vigorous training routine our Monday night sessions held from 8:30pm to 10:00pm at The Peak Stirling are for you. For more information on membership please see our membership page.
A good coach will make their players see what they can be rather than what they are.
WALKING NETBALL WEDNESDAYS
Improve your fitness, meet new people, make wonderful friends and have lots of fun. Our friends at Active Stirling offer Social and Intermediate walking netball. No need to book in advance, just turn up and play!
Social walking netball is a slower than the competitive game and focuses on fun and safety. Intermediate walking netball is for people who are very steady on their feet and like a more competitive game.
Both sessions run alongside each other on two netball courts and are lead by an Active Stirling Walking Netball coach. Visit or contact The Peak, Stirling for information on session times and the cost.
My name is Karin and I was one of the original members who helped set up and develop Stirling Netball Club. I have been part of the committee for over 4 years and now and it’s now time to take on position of chair. This is temporary whilst Anne Marie is taking a well deserved break to have her second baby.
I am really looking forward to continuing to deliver netball within Stirling and passionate about maintaining our BBN, league and junior clubs.
I returned to netball over ten years ago after playing in primary school. I was so happy as an adult to finally find a sport/hobby that I enjoy. I play on our Wednesday BBN sessions. I play netball mostly for fun and to get a buzz from playing within a team.
I was never very good at netball at school. Played WD in the second team. So when my friend suggested that we start playing netball with friends, I wasn't too sure. It didn't take long before I realised that I loved it. I still wasn't particularly good, but the game seemed to unleash a competitiveness in me that I didn't know I had! That was 9 years ago, and whilst I'm still not great at netball, I'm certainly loving the game!
I'm currently the membership coordinator for the club, so I'm the one sending emails to make sure everybody has completed the correct form, joined the facebook group and affiliated with Netball Scotland. I've also led the community outreach programme that we run in conjunction with HMP Cornton Vale.
