STIRLING NETBALL CLUB
Junior, Senior League and Recreational
Winner of the
Club of the year 2015/16
Winner of the CNA
Junior and Senior
This club was established in April 2015 under the banner Bounce Back to Netball. The scheme is a legacy initiative designed by Netball Scotland from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Bounce Back to Netball encourages people gently back into sport. It targets those who perhaps played the game in school before life, jobs and children came along, and left them lacking confidence in the sporting arena.
This is a fun friendly, exciting and inclusive club that has led to a surge in members, all who continue to grow in confidence and skills. The club has organised fundraisers and positive community links within the local area, even visiting schools and coaching netball within a women’s prison.
We began with a casual senior Wednesday evening club which was as much about enjoying sport as it was about winning matches. The club has gone from strength to strength with our players improving so much and developing such a passion for the sport that we converted a section of the senior club into two competitive league teams the Sonics and Sapphires and created a junior section for U11s, U13s, U15s and U17s.
The club consists of a senior section and junior section. To find out more about who we are, please see our senior or junior who we are pages. For specific details about membership costs, training nights and times please see our senior or junior membership pages.
Everyone is welcome no matter your fitness level or skill level so whether you are bringing friends or bringing yourself come along and join in the fun! If you would like to come and meet us contact us to arrange your free taster session.
Stirling Netball Club’s ethos is to encourage fun, participation, sportsmanship and the other social aspects of sports. We want to provide a friendly training environment where all players can reach their potential.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Everyone is so welcoming and I have met some lovely new people; we get fit with fabulous coaches; we are competitive but not to the point of losing the fun as we always have a laugh.
I love the team spirit, it's my highlight of the week to go to play netball. Keeps me fit and it's the best community sport for ladies our age.
My daughter enjoys going to netball each week and has from the beginning. She likes playing as part of a team, improving her skills each week with the coaches, but also having fun. She has made new friends and grown in confidence.
